The Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) is reminding CPAs to renew their licenses before they expire on Dec. 14.
You can renew your CPA license here. If you do not remember your PIN, use the PIN Look-Up feature. If you are unable to renew online, send an email to DSPS at least 15 business days before the expiration date of your license/credential to request a renewal form by mail or email.
The DSPS notes that beginning with the 2021 renewal, CPAs must complete at least 80 CPE credits. CPAs need to complete 20 credits during each 12-month period. The 80 CPE credits must include at least 40 credits from formal learning activities and three credits related to ethics.
The Wisconsin Institute of CPAs (WICPA) is the premier professional organization representing CPAs, accounting and business professionals in being mindful of the public interest. With more than 7,000 members in public accounting, business and industry, government, nonprofit and education, the WICPA serves the diverse needs of our members; enhances professional competency; promotes the value of members and the profession; advocates on behalf of the profession; and builds community among members.
